Proposals for Oral and Poster Presentations

National Conference for McNair Scholars and Undergraduate Research - March 14-17, 2024

POSTER PRESENTATION: Undergraduate researchers will gain valuable experience presenting and discussing research with students, faculty, and staff. Presenters will receive peer review, research and presentation feedback, and will field questions about their research. This is an opportunity for scholars to get experience in a collegial, supportive setting.

Poster presentations will be held on Friday, March 15th, 2024 from 2:45 pm - 4:15 pm

Accepted poster presentations must be set up by 7:30 a.m. on the day of the poster presentations, Friday, March 15, 2024.

Note: We will not be able to accommodate posters larger than 48" x 36." Two posters per table. Each student will be assigned a table.

ORAL PRESENTATION: Oral presentations allow McNair Scholars and undergraduate student researchers the opportunity to present their academic research findings to their peers, faculty, and professionals across disciplines. Students are allotted 12 minutes to present their research using a PowerPoint presentation and 3 minutes for questions and answers. Each oral presentation will be moderated by faculty and staff to mange time, facilitate questions and answers, and maintain professional decorum. Oral presentations allow students to share their theories and to solicit feedback on their research. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance research and explore unique intersections based on questions raised and the audience's varying disciplines and perspectives.

Oral presentations will occur on Saturday, March 16th from 9:15 am - 12:45 pm.
Presentation times will be assigned by Conference staff.

Submissions for both Oral & Poster Presentations are due on February 3, 2024.
Upon complete registration a link to submit abstracts via the Conference Attendance Form is shared with your program director.
